Join us for the 2027 JVCOC Ladies’ Retreat as we turn our hearts back to the prayer of Jesus, asking what it truly means to be one in Him in a world working overtime to divide us.
Maybe you already feel it. The ache of a world pulling people apart. The weariness of watching Christians divide over politics, race, opinions, pride, pain, and personal preferences. Somewhere along the way, many of us learned how to stand our ground, but forgot how to hold onto one another in Christ.
But Jesus prayed for something different. He prayed that those who believe in Him would be one. Not shallow. Not performative. Not “smile for the group photo” unity. Real unity. Holy unity. The kind that points the world back to the Father.
Imagine women gathering with open Bibles, honest hearts, and a willingness to examine what has been dividing us. Imagine laying down the walls we were never meant to build and asking God to make us undivided in Him.
“I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”
John 17:20-21, NASB
The 2027 JVCOC Ladies’ Retreat, Undivided, is not just another weekend away. It is a call to gather around the prayer of Jesus in John 17:20–23 and ask a hard but necessary question: are we living as one in Christ, or have we allowed the world to teach us how to divide? Over the course of the weekend, we will worship together, open God’s Word together, pray together, reflect together, and have honest conversations about the things that often pull Christians apart. Race. Politics. Pride. Pain. Personal opinions. Old wounds. Fear. The uncomfortable stuff we sometimes tiptoe around while pretending everything is fine.
But Jesus did not pray for pretend unity. He prayed that those who believe in Him would be one, just as He and the Father are one. That kind of unity is not shallow. It is not weak. It is holy, visible, and deeply rooted in truth. This retreat is an invitation to come with an open Bible, an open heart, and a willingness to let God examine what we may have been holding too tightly. Because when women of God learn to love one another like Christ, the world gets a clearer picture of who He really is.
Every part of this weekend is designed to help us slow down, open God’s Word, and gather as women seeking to become undivided in Christ.
Step away from the noise and gather with sisters in Christ for a weekend rooted in Scripture, worship, prayer, and honest fellowship. Undivided is not about pretending we all come from the same place, think the same way, or carry the same experiences. It is about gathering around the same Savior and asking Him to shape our hearts into the unity He prayed for.
Your registration includes access to Christ-centered teaching, retreat materials, and guided resources created to help you reflect on John 17:20–23 and the call to be one in Christ. Each session is designed to help us examine what divides us, what Jesus prayed for us, and what the world sees when it looks at His people.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll have opportunities to slow down and process what you’re hearing through guided workshops, meaningful discussions, creative reflection, and quiet moments with the Lord. These are not just “extra activities.” They are intentional spaces to help the Word move from the page into the heart. And yes, we love a good craft table, but we are not just playing with glue sticks for the kingdom.
Full-weekend registration includes lodging at Scrappin’ Valley Lodge, catered meals, snacks, retreat materials, and access to the full weekend experience. In past years, attendees have also received retreat keepsakes such as themed shirts, soundtracks, and gifts connected to the retreat theme. We love making the weekend feel thoughtful, personal, and set apart from the moment you arrive.
This retreat is not just about getting away. It is about coming before God with open hands and asking Him to reveal where our hearts, habits, fears, opinions, and loyalties may have become divided. Our prayer is that you leave encouraged, challenged, and more deeply committed to loving the body of Christ in a way that helps the world see Him more clearly.

Women who are active members of a congregation that is faithful and apart of the body of Christ – and have these basic beliefs that form the foundation of Christianity are considered to speak:
Jesus
Jesus led a perfect life, free from any sin, and became the perfect sacrifice for each of our sins.
Jesus was crucified on a cross and was resurrected back to life on the third day after His death.
Jesus’ willing sacrifice is a completely free gift that could never be earned.
Jesus’ willing sacrifice has the total power to save us and completely cover our sin and we are lost without it.
Jesus’ willing sacrifice allows us the opportunity to live the best life possible, both here on earth and one day with Him in Heaven.
Jesus is placed by God as the head of His church.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is alive and active and lives within people who commit their lives to Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit enables us to grow in the character traits of God: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Salvation is a free gift that requires a response.
Our response needs to be
A humble, broken, and repentant heart
Confession of Jesus’ being the Son of God and Lord of our lives
Baptism by immersion for the forgiveness of our sins
A commitment to follow Him for the rest of our lives
A commitment to intentionally grow in a personal relationship with God
A commitment to share the gift of Jesus’ sacrifice with people who don’t know Him
A commitment to serve people in His name – to be His hands and feet to those we come in contact with
A commitment to worship and fellowship with a local church

Unfortunately, we’re not able to offer childcare at this retreat. The intention is to create a space for deep personal reflection and spiritual growth, which can sometimes be more effective in a child-free environment.
Please know your situation is understood and respected, and it’s with a heavy heart that we acknowledge this might limit some from joining us this time.

We invite Young Ladies and women from the 9th grade and up who want to enhance their overall spiritual well-being and make better connections with their sisters in Christ.
Our goal is to create an intimate and community-focused retreat experience. Sharing rooms allows us to:
Foster Connection: Many of our participants have found that sharing a room leads to unexpected friendships and deeper connections during the retreat.
Keep It Affordable: By offering shared accommodations, we can provide an all-inclusive package that covers catered meals, resources, and more, while keeping costs reasonable.
Maximize Limited Space: Our retreat space is limited, and shared rooms help ensure that as many participants as possible can join this unique experience.
Offer Upgrade Options: We understand that privacy is important to some. That’s why we offer a limited number of private room upgrades for those who prefer extra personal space.
We truly believe that the shared room experience enhances the overall retreat atmosphere and contributes to a supportive, engaging environment. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out!

As the founder of Crooked Crowns and the Ladies’ Retreat coordinator for Jersey Village church of Christ, I have a heart for creating Christ-centered spaces where women can bring their real questions, real struggles, and real faith before God. These retreats are not just pretty weekends away. They are intentional gatherings built around Scripture, honest teaching, worship, reflection, and the kind of fellowship that reminds us we are not walking this road alone.
Through my own walk, I have faced abuse, single motherhood, grief, and seasons where life did not look anything like I expected. And still, God has been faithful. Not because life was easy, but because He remained God in every valley. That is a huge part of why I care so deeply about women’s ministry. I have spent years teaching, speaking, coaching, and helping women face spiritual battles with truth, perseverance, and faithfulness. My heart is to help women come back to Scripture, not just for information, but for transformation.
